I’m an “advanced beginner” and was having trouble with my yarn twisting around itself as it came off the ball. My friend (very advanced, experienced knitter) suggested a yarn bowl. The ball of yarn can spin and slide around in the bowl without rolling away (which is also nice if you have cats.) The yarn flows more freely, if that makes sense.
I ordered the white and blush colors. They look so pretty just sitting around when not in use. I absolutely love them.
I love the delicate leaf that swirls to capture the yarn. It doesn’t snag the thread at all and allows for a very smooth transfer. The subtle blush color offers a sense of tranquility and peace, which is what I feel when I knit and crochet. This is more than just pottery! It’s an experience
I got this yarn bowl in cream as a present for someone who loves to make amigurumi (little crocheted/stuffed figures). It's a stunning addition to our home as a decoration and is very functional as well. The bowl has a nice weight to it that helps prevent the bowl from slipping or moving as you pull yarn from it, and it feels great in your hands!
I've been the fortunate owner of one of these bowls for several years and I can't say enough about it's beauty as well as performance of its intended purpose! I wanted a special gift for a relative and so had one sent to her. A 10 star purchase! Now if I can only come up with a reason for another one for me! :0)
I ordered the yarn bowl for my daughter-in-law. She just started knitting and I am sure she will find this beautiful bowl very useful. Not only is the piece perfect, it was carefully packaged and arrived promptly. Thank you, Nona! I will keep Vesselry in my bookmarks for future purchasing.
